2023 Milliken Honors Leadership Award - Curtis Winslow

The Milliken Honors Leadership Award recipient stands out as a truly exceptional leader among the Milliken Honors winners. This honoree consistently demonstrates leadership expectations, which marks them as role models within their teams.

It, therefore, is no surprise to the teammates of Curtis Winslow that he was named the 2023 MIlliken Honors Leadership Award recipient. As Senior Operations Manager at Milliken’s Hawthorn Plant, Curtis has been in a supervising role for nearly 30 years, making him the go-to person for plant needs. He never hesitates to work alongside all his associates, no matter his current workload. He is easily one of the most respected managers at Hawthorn Plant, recognizing the needs of his team and balancing those needs with ensuring the work is done. It’s common to see Curtis filling in for his reports rather than denying their time-off requests or asking other associates to extend their shifts.

Curtis’ own supervisors note that while he would never admit this, Curtis is why the production department runs the way it does. These associates all agree that having Curtis as a boss is really what brings them back day after day. They are quick to chime in that Curtis never asks them to do something he wouldn’t do himself. No matter what, his decisions are always made with his team’s best interests at heart.
