The Gift of Associate Giving

At Milliken & Company, we prioritize people in everything we do. From improving safety procedures for our associates to hitting our 2025 sustainability goal of 100,000 volunteer hours in our communities, we’re investing to help create a healthy, safe, and inclusive future.
To expand that investment, Milliken is further empowering associates through the Milliken & Company Charitable Foundation’s Associate Gift Match Program. The Foundation will match every dollar full-time company associates in the U.S. donates to an organization, up to $2,500 for schools and up to $500 for other eligible organizations.
This provides associates like Alan Jenkins, Senior Manager of Brand and Communications, a larger opportunity to make a difference and impact the local community.

Meet Alan’s local charity of choice: The Hope Center for Children, a nonprofit in Spartanburg, SC, that aims to help build stable, healthy families and provide children with a safe place from abuse and neglect. Alan has been donating to this organization since 2017 and has served in multiple board positions over the last seven years, including chairman.
“I believe we have a responsibility to give back to our communities, and I am privileged to be able to give in this way,” Alan said. “The gift of volunteer time is a treasure and crucial, but charitable giving is what keeps the lights on and pays the staff, ensuring those who need our help the most can receive it.”
Thanks to the Foundation’s increase in the number of 501c3 organizations eligible for donation, The Hope Center for Children is on Milliken’s giving list for the first time.
“The Foundation’s expansion is empowering—it truly shows me that Milliken supports my values as well,” Alan said. "This reinforces that Milliken wants its associates to be their most authentic selves. Everyone can support their own charity and find their own way to give back to the community.”
