Tell us a bit about your role at Milliken, what does it involve?

I’ve been with Milliken for almost 20 years and currently work as a Senior Technical Associate supporting our plastic additives products.  I help ensure the smooth operation of the technical service lab in Singapore and conduct tests according to customer and internal requirements.  I occasionally travel to customer’s sites to conduct trials. 

 

What are the main ways you can help Milliken’s customers?

Getting accurate and reliable test results greatly helps Milliken’s customers in solving their problems.

What is your favorite part of the job?

What excites me most about my job is the variety of things I get to do and that almost all my customer requests are different. This encourages me to think out of the box to come up with new ways or methods to solve customers’ problems. That’s why I have been at Milliken for so long! Every day I learn something new!

 

Do you have a particular customer success story or a highlight that you are proud of?

When I attended my first customer trial in Vietnam years ago, it wasn’t easy as the customer had very stringent requirements for their products. In the end, we managed to show them that Milliken could help them improve their products’ quality and operation efficiency and they have become one of our regular customers.

 

What’s is your favorite Milliken memory?

The very first day I came to Milliken!

 

What’s special about Milliken’s Chemical business?

As a whole, I really like the culture that Milliken has. Everyone is respectful and caring of each other and I always look forward to coming to the office every day.

 

What’s one piece of advice you have for someone looking for a job or internship at Milliken?

Try to learn as much as possible. Knowledge gained is never knowledge lost!
