Presenting the Milliken and Company Employee Dependent Scholarship Program

The Milliken & Company Charitable Foundation is proud to award 12 academic scholarships supporting students who are dependents of current Milliken associates. 

One of the many ways Milliken upholds its core value of People, the Milliken & Company Employee Dependent Scholarship recognizes students striving for excellence in academics, school and community participation, and special honors. The inaugural class of 12 students — seven from the United States, two from Europe, and three from Asia — will receive their scholarship for up to three years.

Among these students is Caroline, currently studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology: MIT.

“It helps me attend my dream school and pursue my passion for a career in neuroscience in the heart of Boston, one of the best biotech research centers in the world.”

Scholarship recipients received their award certificates in a parcel filled with blue confetti, Milliken swag, and a letter from Milliken President and CEO Halsey Cook.

“This scholarship program is designed to serve our people by giving back to our associates and their dependents,” Cook wrote. “As you begin your education journey, consider how you can further these values in the world, and, just maybe, consider working for us once you have graduated.”

Plans are underway to grow the scholarship program, aiming to award $200,000 in annual school scholarships by 2025.
