Actively participating in the Alliance to End Plastic Waste

The vision: end plastic waste in the environment. Milliken is an active member of the Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW), which has over 35 projects in 80 cities. These efforts have diverted and recycled a combined total of over 4,000 metric tons of plastic waste, and engaged over 460 communities.

Milliken leads the Design for Circularity thematic expert group, which aims to increase the circularity of plastic usage through enhanced front-end product and packaging design solutions. Our participation aids the recovery of material value of used plastic by expanding market and product outlets and creating conditions for demand pull.

We also actively participate in the North America, South America and Europe Regional Task Groups as well as the Singapore National Task Group.

Milliken believes and supports the mission of AEPW. Ending plastic waste is achievable through innovative and impactful solutions, deployed at-scale while partnering with communities around the world.
