Milliken Equinox™ Thermal Liner
Contact Us
For firefighters, the thermal liner in their turnout gear coats and pants can play a major role in how comfortable they feel during and after a call. That’s why Milliken Equinox™ was designed with speed in mind. Milliken’s development team used three-layers of lightweight, aramid-blended spunlace to create a material that manages sweat better, and is lighter and slicker, than any two-layer option on the market. Equinox™ thermal liner is UL® certified to NFPA 1971 which guarantees exceptional thermal protection, breathability, and moisture management, making it the ideal choice for first responders.
Product Information
For firefighters, the thermal liner in their turnout gear coats and pants can play a major role in how comfortable they feel during and after a call. That’s why Milliken Equinox™ was designed with speed in mind. Milliken’s development team used three-layers of lightweight, aramid-blended spunlace to create a material that manages sweat better, and is lighter and slicker, than any two-layer option on the market. Equinox™ thermal liner is UL® certified to NFPA 1971 and guarantees exceptional thermal protection, breathability, and moisture management, making it the ideal choice for firefighters.
Designed to trap and release moisture as quickly as possible, Equinox keeps first responders comfortable by getting them drier, faster. Plus, the three layer construction, unique to Milliken, offers additional thermal protection without adding weight to the garment and can help decrease cardiovascular stress. With a super slick feel, this fabric ensures effortless donning and doffing, making it ready to face any call.
As the innermost layer of Milliken's innovative turnout gear fabric system, Equinox provides unmatched performance and protection. Milliken remains the first and only U.S.-based manufacturer to offer a non-PFAS fabric for every layer of a firefighter’s turnout gear. Fire departments and PPE committees can now choose fully non-PFAS turnout gear coats and pants without sacrificing the comfort, durability, performance and safety they depend on.
Equinox™ is 2x more breathable than the industry standard, offering superior moisture wicking and ultra-quick drying. Its lightweight, three-layer construction ensures maximum comfort and thermal protection.
Milliken leads the market in providing NFPA 1971-2018 certified, non-PFAS firefighter gear. Our thermal liner offers the same protection and comfort as traditional turnout gear while using non-PFAS materials.
Equinox™ features a best-in-class, low-friction facecloth for ultra-fast donning and doffing. This slick, lightweight thermal liner enhances comfort and protection, making it the top choice for first responders.
