ACI's 1.5°C Challenge
A Call to Action for the Cleaning Industry
It will take a collective effort to move the needle on climate change—and the cleaning industry is stepping up to the challenge. The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) is leading the charge by urging member companies to develop their climate strategies to reach net-zero emissions by 2050.
These efforts are striving toward limiting annual temperature rise to 1.5°C, a critical target defined by scientists as the level that would prevent the most devastating consequences of climate change. Dubbed the 1.5°C Challenge, ACI highlights organizations who are rolling up their sleeves and doing their part to limit climate change.
Milliken is no stranger to hard conversations, and we know we all can work together to make big things happen. As a member of the 1.5°C Challenge, our chemical business team highlighted just how Milliken is pitching in to make the cleaning industry—and the entire plastic packaging industry—more sustainable.
Milliken’s Chemical Business President Cindy Boiter and Director of Sustainability and Innovation Deidre Sandrock explore how both process and product innovations are helping us build a healthier future—and leave a positive impact for generations to come. Learn more about our efforts over on ACI’s website.
