REDUCE INDEXED GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS BY 25%

In 2022, we met our 2025 goal by successfully implementing emission reduction projects, expanding renewable energy, and utilizing carbon credits. But we’re pushing for more. We are focused now on achieving the reductions necessary for our near-term net-zero targets.

REDUCE INDEXED WATER USAGE BY 25%

Our water management projects reduced water withdrawal by 3.6%. We continue to consider local solutions for further water strategies that result in sustainable outcomes.

REDUCE INDEXED SOLID WASTE BY 25%

Our forecasted improvements from thermal drying biosolids and eliminating coal ash proved accurate, resulting in solid waste reductions from 8% to 14%.

ZERO WASTE TO LANDFILL

Our progress on landfill diversion was disrupted when our alternative biosolid outlets closed. We continue to study options for reducing waste and expanding outlet options.
